Double Swing Door
A double swing door (or "French door") creates a grand entrance and provides flexible access for wide openings. This system consists of two panels: the Active Leaf (for daily use) and the Inactive Leaf (which is secured with flush bolts and opened only when needed). We offer three options to create the perfect solution.
Option 1: Door Panels Only (Freedom of Choice)
This option includes two door panels (slabs). It is intended for replacing doors within an existing door frame. This choice includes 2 flush bolts (mortised into the inactive leaf) as well as an astragal (the strip that covers the gap between the two doors).
Use: Choose this option if you are only replacing the old door panels while keeping your frame. This is also a good choice if you wish to purchase the frame and handles separately.
Option 2: Kit for Rooms and Hallways Requiring Privacy
This kit is excellent for spaces where soundproofing and privacy are important. The door closes securely. The kit includes flush bolts for the passive leaf and an astragal.
Use: Suitable for master bedrooms, home offices, and hallways. You will need to add a locking handle for the active leaf and possibly a dummy handle for the passive leaf, which are sold separately.
Option 3: Kit for Quick Access Areas
This option is suitable for spaces where you frequently open and close the doors and do not need to lock them. The kit includes ball catches to hold the doors in a closed position.
Use: Recommended for large closets, pantries, and hallways. You will only need a simple passage (non-locking) handle.
Important note: Door handles (for both the active and passive leaf) are not included in any standard set. You purchase them separately so you can choose the style and features that suit you.
